Woleck’s Works by Delphine Chaneac
Given how difficult it can be to describe art and put it into words, I’m going to concentrate instead on impressions and emotions. And once again we are submerged in a sea of bubbles, colours and delicacies, all linked to very specific tones and selected volumes. It’s quite strange, as in his latest work, which seems very modern, like something out of Luc Besson’s “The Fifth Element”, Woleck still manages to incorporate plants and greenery, and not just any greenery. Vines, bien sûr, and grapes, and more grapes; Champagne that he so enjoys sipping in moderation - which he once confessed at one of Nicolas Feuillatte’s famous parties - of which there have been quite a few…
Just to give you an idea!
And fireworks explode in the recesses of the city. A city in the midst of celebrations. A city that explodes like a bottle of Champagne. And which city does it represent? No matter, as Nicolas Feuillatte is everywhere, as the strapline “EPERNAY - NEW YORK - BEYOND” would suggest.
And all this in soft, delicate pastel tones, words I may already have used myself to describe Our Champagne. And I have to admit, these two elements go particularly well together.
So here is Woleck, Artist of the Year, and as if by magic, a bottle of Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte appears; another magnificent harvest year and another work of art carefully installed at Maison Nicolas Feuillatte in Epernay next year…
