Mori Art Museum, Japan
On the 53rd and penultimate floor of the conic Roppongi Hills Tower in the heart of Tokyo, sandwiched between a gigantic cinema and 200 shops and restaurants and offering spectacular views from 250m above ground level, stands the Mori Art Museum. This contemporary art museum houses the private collection of Minoru Mori, the building tycoon responsible for the museum’s creation, along with that of his wife Yoshiko.
Temporary exhibitions dedicated to Japanese and International Art, from Singapore and the Arab nations, are regularly on view. Ai Weiwei, Tokujin Yoshioka and Bill Viola have all featured at the Mori.
