For Nicolas Feuillatte, 2017 was marked by a new beginning with the launch of its new headquarters and Visitor Centre, the Espace Nicolas Feuillatte. This unique, warm and welcoming space provides ideal conditions for visitors to discover the world of Nicolas Feuillatte and its Champagnes. All told, the two projects took two years to complete, but the intention to create two new buildings for the brand goes back at least ten years. The primary objective was to bring a vision to life and create a bold symbol for an elegant, but more importantly, emotional Champagne that plays on intimacy and authenticity. Designed by Soret Defrance Archictects and created by SAT Manager engineering consultancy, the two new constructions are located just a hundred metres from the company’s former headquarters. But the similarities end there. While previous offices were constructed to a very rational aesthetic, here the buildings relate a story, terroirs and a rich and varied profession. Nestling at the heart of the vines, transparent glass and curved lines define the buildings, seemingly embracing the contours of the surrounding hillsides to greater effect.
Inside, the allegory continues, even in the smallest details, from its wooden structure reflecting the surrounding natural landscape, to the choice of furniture, and even more so in the shimmering sparkle of the vast light feature located directly above the Espace Nicolas Feuillatte bar area. The entire project is designed with ambitious environmental goals. While the Visitor Centre is intended as a vast event space open to the public, bringing a significant boost to wine tourism in the region, the headquarters provide four thousand square metres of dedicated work space to the organisation’s 90 employees. The same level of attention and quality of design has been invested to the new headquarters, particularly with regard to thermal comfort and acoustics . At Centre Vinicole Nicolas Feuillatte, man remains firmly at the heart of the company’s project; it is vital that the employees have access to the best possible working environment to match the passion which they invest in their work on a daily basis.
House Style: effervescence is the overarching concept that has steered the entire planning process for Espace Nicolas Feuillatte.
